MANDSAUR, MADHYA PRADESH — A shocking case of voyeurism has rocked Bhanpura Government College, where three student leaders linked to the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) were arrested for secretly recording female students changing clothes during a youth festival. The incident took place on October 14, 2025, when girl students preparing for cultural performances noticed someone trying to capture photos through a window. They immediately alerted the acting principal, Dr. Preeti Pancholi, who filed a written complaint with the police. Upon reviewing the CCTV footage, police found that four male students had attempted to peek into the girls’ changing area — one of them even stood on another’s shoulders to take photos. Based on the evidence, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) concerning voyeurism and privacy violations. The arrested accused have been identified as Umesh Joshi (ABVP city secretary), Ajay Goud (co-college head), and Himanshu Bairagi (activist). A fourth student is still absconding.
