This ticket turned out to be a good thing, as it sparked an interesting series of comments. Some thoughts mentioned learning how to break the rules and to have fun in recovery -- going out with friends (instead of doing homework), watching movies, and even skipping school! The comments reminded me of this video that McGraw-Hill recorded back in April. I've been waiting for a good time to post it. That time is now---several months, one parking ticket, and twenty dollars later (the fine). If you have my book, "Goodbye Ed, Hello Me," you might notice that this video corresponds with the chapter titled "Having Fun To Save My Life" on page 190. You can read various book excerpts here: https://jennischaefer.com/resource/ex... Thanks for watching! Please share more thoughts. I always love to hear from you. Jenni P.S. As noted in the video, the song you hear is "It's Okay to be Happy" (written by my wonderful friends, Dave Berg & Georgia Middleman, and myself). To hear the entire song: https://jennischaefer.com/music/ The song is also available on iTunes, Amazon.com, etc.!
