These personal keepsakes surfaced at a Huntington Beach flea market in mid-2024, and while their path remains a mystery, their significance is undeniable. The Stroppe family’s story is tightly woven into my own legacy — my grandfather, Rod Hall, shared countless racing milestones with Bill Stroppe, shaping the early era of off-road competition. Uncovering more of these artifacts matters now more than ever, as we prepare for the MCACN show in Chicago (Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals : November 22-23, 2025), where my grandfather’s career and contributions will be celebrated. This recovery is made possible by renowned collector Wayne Schmeeckle, who’s ensuring these treasures are preserved to continue telling the story of how the Stroppe and Hall families helped shape the sport we love.
