Accountability IS Coming!

Accountability is a beautiful thing. But even more importantly, if we want to keep our republic, accountability is a necessary thing. As a former career federal prosecutor, I'm a rule of law guy. So for me, accountability is all about holding Trump and his criminal associates, both in and out of government, accountable for the crimes they're committing against the American people. On the legal front, we need and will launch the American Accountability Project. But there are other kinds of accountability that will come after the midterms when the Democrats take control of the House. That accountability will involve Congress's power of oversight over the executive branch, which it has been abandoned by the Republicans in Congress. Oversight will rise up out of its coma and legislative oversight of a criminal and corrupt executive branch will again be a thing. There are some people who are preparing for that right now, like my friend Kurt Bardella who just launched The Watchdog Report. Kurt used to work in the area of congressional oversight, and he's a subject matter expert in that field. He also happens to be a democracy warrior who is preparing now for the coming accountability. I just sat down with Kurt to discuss how The Watchdog Report is playing an important role in our fight for accountability.
