Hazes, born and raised in Amsterdam, was one of the most well known artists singing the typically Dutch genre levenslied. With his songs about love, family, loneliness and alcohol, Hazes found a way to the heart of almost everyone. Even though he sadly passed away in 2004, even till today people still know the lyrics by heart and sing along with the songs in the Dutch bars.
