Justice isn’t what’s holding us back, thinking we’ve already figured it out is. And I’m trying to learn this lesson too, one hard example at a time. Because when you really look around, the world doesn’t always add up. Some people live their whole lives wronging others and leave peacefully. Others get hurt, oppressed, and die in pain. How is that justice? I break it down into three main points: • Justice vs what we see — What looks “fair” on the outside often isn’t. Outcomes don’t always line up with what feels right. • Limits of our systems — Courts, laws, democracy… we’ve built systems to chase justice, but can we ever actually reach it in this life? • God as the true Judge — He’s the One who set the bounds of justice and oppression, and He created the very scales that will weigh every deed. If you love Him and do good, He promises forgiveness, even when you’ve wronged yourself or others. The whole idea started with this question: “Are we really seeing justice in this world, or just pieces of it that point to something greater?” When you’re done, let me know your thoughts in the comments or through my site. Do you think justice can ever be complete in this world, or only when God Himself holds every single person accountable for his or her deeds? 📬 Reach me through my site: OsmanHameed.net
