#303day #roland303 #synthesizer Happy 303 day! 🙂 The Roland MC-303 came out in 1996 and was the first product of @rolandglobal that had 303 in its name after the legendary TB-303 which came out in 1981. Besides that the MC-303 also waa the first machine that had the name „Groovebox“ on it and started a whole new product genre that lasts until today and further on. It has 448 different sounds from Roland‘s TR-808, TR-909, TB-303, CR-78, Juno series and a bunch of sampled sounds from various sources. I bought my first MC-303 in 1997 second hand for a few hundred DM (Deutsche Mark) and it opened a whole new world for me. Within one box i immediately had so many great sounds from the original 80s machines from the original manufacturer itself what was quite a novum back then. Even 29 after its release it is possible to make music with it that sounds fresh and up to date. @krostif_music for example has a great tutorial in form of a making of video of his track „Fog“ online. I can highly recommend this video to get an idea of what you can make with a MC-303.
