I took time out from fishing and diving and headed to Queen’s Park Savannah for the National Panorama Semi Finals, to experience something truly special — BP Renegades Steel Orchestra performing “The Lizard” by the Mighty Sparrow (Slinger Francisco). This video is recorded from inside the band, right in and around the rhythm section, where the engine of the steel orchestra lives. From iron, drums, and bass, to the pulse that drives the entire arrangement, you’ll hear and feel Panorama the way it’s meant to be experienced — up close, loud, and alive. Inspired by Sparrow’s iconic lyrics — “Where de Lizard?” — I followed the sound through the band, searching for that mischievous musical energy that makes this calypso a timeless classic. What you’ll hear is not just music, but Trinidad & Tobago culture in motion: discipline, creativity, and raw steelpan power. Panorama is more than a competition — it’s storytelling, history, and community. BP Renegades brings Sparrow’s wit and rhythm to life with precision, power, and unmistakable pan flavor. 🎶 Song: The Lizard 🎤 Composer: Mighty Sparrow (Slinger Francisco) 🥁 Band: BP Renegades Steel Orchestra 📍 Location: Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain 🏆 Event: National Panorama Semi Finals If you love steelpan, calypso, Carnival culture, or want to experience Panorama from inside the band, this video is for you. 👉 Like, share, and subscribe for more authentic Trinidad & Tobago cultural moments — from pan yards to the sea. #bprenegades #Mighty Sparrow #panorama #steelpan #QueensParkSavannah #trinidadandtobago #visittrinidad #steelband
