This is a very strong peated whisky named after a turbulent whirlpool. It is part of the Ardbeg core range, that include it's siblings, the Ardbeg Ten and the Uigeadail. These are all famous classic single malts that I recommend if you're going down that peated highway. For some of you Corryvreckan will be a rewarding and an extraordinary experience. For others who are experiencing Ardbeg, and especially the Corryvreckan for the first time, it might be a little too much too soon. There is no other peated single malt quite like this one and like the whirlpool be cautious when you approach it. Some of us have spent a lot of our lives in turbulent waters so maybe that explains why the drink is a good fit for our palate. Enjoy.
