This recipe is approximately for 3 cups only (I used 300ml cups). Beat egg yolks with sugar until smooth. Add flour and corn flour, beat until smooth again. Add a small amount of warm milk to the mixture and whisk to combine. Add the yolks mixture to the hot milk and cook over a medium heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a simmer. Cook for one more minute and remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla extract. Cover with clear wrap and leave to cool down for about 20 minutes. Transfer to the fridge for at least 1 hour.
