This day was all about stunning mountain views, scenic drives, and exploring the beautiful town of Aspen. We started our morning at the iconic Maroon Bells, one of the most photographed mountain ranges in the USA. The peaceful atmosphere and mirror-like reflections at Maroon Lake made this experience truly magical. Next, we explored Aspen Downtown, walked through a lively street market, and enjoyed some delicious local food. The vibe of Aspen — classy, cozy, and surrounded by mountains — is something you have to experience in person. Aspen during Christmas and December is known to be extremely beautiful with snow-covered streets and festive lights, but since we visited in summer, we got to experience its green landscapes and clear mountain views instead. After that, we took the Silver Queen Gondola Ride, which offered breathtaking panoramic views of Aspen from the top of the mountain. This ride is definitely a must-do when visiting Aspen. Finally, we went on the adventurous Independence Pass road drive — a high-altitude, narrow, and scenic mountain road that is open only during summer months. Driving through snow patches, sharp turns, and dramatic landscapes made this one of the highlights of our Colorado trip.
