In this interview with Rachel Rickards (founder of The Field Facilitator Training Embodied Intimacy), we talk about how to be aware of and work consciously with the field that is created when a group of people come together, especially to do deep transformational work (around personal development). Also, we touch on vulnerable leadership and how to step into your vulnerability from a place of strength, being able to reveal yourself but not burden your inner sorrows onto other people. We also touch on Rachel's journey that brought her where she is now, first organizing events in Hollywood for a long time, then founding Embodied Intimacy about 10 years ago, working with people in intimacy and relating from a trauma-informed lens, and how she now created a new training called The Field Facilitator Training. We talk about what her intention is for The Field Facilitator Training and what ethical standards she would like to bring into the world of facilitation through that and also how to work with the field in your group workshops, but also when you relate with people one-on-one. How can you be more aware of what is happening when you relate with people on all levels of your being and the surroundings that you and the other person/people are in. By developing more awareness of The Field that is always at work when we relate with people we are able to connect more deeply with other people and ourselves and relate on the level of what is really happening in the moment with present-moment awareness and trauma-informed body-awareness.
