A Journey Through History: Austria’s Heritage Day at the OPEC Fund Headquarters

On Hashtag#Austria’s Heritage Day, our HQ, the Palais Deutschmeister, once again opened its doors to the public. Visitors had the chance to explore its rich history and remarkable architecture – and to experience first-hand the home of the Hashtag#OPECFund since 1982. Built in the 1860s for Habsburg Archduke Wilhelm Franz Karl and designed by Theophil von Hansen, the Palais continues to impress with its unique character. In 2024, we expanded into another historic landmark – the Palais Colloredo-Mannsfeld – creating state-of-the-art workplaces for over 80 colleagues. The renovation carefully combined Hashtag#heritage preservation with modern Hashtag#sustainability and Hashtag#energyefficiency.
