Video Description ~~~~~~ Google just announced a new update to Android 16, and with it, they are also bringing a number of extra features to smartphones and tablets that are stuck on older versions. So even if you don't have the latest version of Android, you can still pin tabs in Chrome on Android And in today's video, I'll be showing you how this new feature works. Just be sure to stick around. . .because I can also show you how to manually activate the feature yourself. Even if you don't have access to Android 16 yet. #android #chrome #android16 Pinning Tabs in Chrome I have yet to be able to find out which version of Chrome actually unlocks this feature. So to me, that sounds as if there is a server-side switch that will actually roll this out to the community. And when you have access to it, you'll know by performing a long-press gesture on a Chrome tab from this menu here. This way, you're able to keep the tabs you use the most pinned right here. After a tab has been pinned. . .you'll see it appear in bar up here once you have scrolled past it. So you get a nice visual reminder about which tabs you have pinned You can tap on the pinned comment to instantly load it. But you can't unpin it while it's condensed like this You actually need to scroll to the point where it reveals the entire tab And then you can long-press the tab to unpin it. When you have more than 2 tabs pinned. . .they'll still be displayed up here You'll just see it move to a scrolling bar instead. Now, I mentioned you can actually manually enable this feature if you don't have it available to you. I'm not sure exactly which version of Chrome is needed. But you can check on it by loading up the Chrome Flags page And then searching for the word PIN As we skim through these results, you will eventually come across one labeled "Android Pinned Tabs" And we just need to switch this to Enabled Tap the Relaunch button so the changes take affect. Then, I recommend you give the feature a test. Find some important tabs that you have open in Chrome And make sure it's actually working for you. If it did, please consider clicking on the like button, so that more people can be made aware of the new feature. And you can really help out the channel by sharing this video on your favorite social media platforms. As that really goes a long way to helping the channel grow. Step by Step Tutorial ~~~~~ 1.
