This is a 6 by 52 cigar, with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, binder from Nicaragua and filler from both the Dominican and Nicaragua. The cigar has a very smooth looking wrapper. No visible veins. The foot of the cigar has an earthy aroma. And the pre-light draw is a little earthy and has some nutty notes as well. The first few puffs have a creamy earthy flavor at the front of the palette with a little bit of wood on the finish. I'll be back in a few minutes to discuss the first third of this cigar. After the first few puffs, the first third of this cigar have had earthy and woodsy notes on the front of the palette with occasional sweetness. The finish has picked up some black pepper and still has a lingering woodsy note. The cigar so far has a great draw, the burn is slightly uneven, I did even it up with a lighter early on just to correct the problem, and the ash hasn't been an issue so far. The flavors in the second third of the cigar have picked up some more sweetness and also added some nutty notes which carried through to the finish as well. The finish has picked up some more black peppery notes and has dropped the woody flavors. The draw on the cigar continues to be excellent and the burn picked up a little bit more unevenness, but I haven't had to touch it up with a lighter since the beginning of the cigar. The final third of this E.P. Carillo New Wave Connecticut Divinos continues to have mostly nutty and sweet flavors on the front of the palette. And a little black better has snuck into those flavors as well. The finish is now all black pepper until the long lasting finish. The cigar overall has had a great draw, the burn has evened itself out, I haven't had to touch it up since the beginning of the cigar. The ash has been a little bit flaky, so if it is a little breezy you might want to ash often, but other than that, no issues with the cigar at all. The cigar is a medium bodied cigar lots of flavors, the black pepper tends to dominate the palette a little bit and the strength is mild, so it could be a good morning stick if you don't mind the black pepper flavors in the morning, for me it would be an afternoon cigar.
