Cloud surfing from Barton on 30th May 2025 in G-JSUE. It was very grey at Barton and we weren’t sure that we were going to find gaps in the clouds to our liking but not long after the Middlebrook Stadium we found ourselves in luck. There was an aircraft getting an SRA into Warton (to land at Blackpool) and I’ve left a lot of the ATC comms with that aircraft in the video. At some stages that involved using the “dual” feature on our radio so the exchanges become a little disjointed as transmissions on the active frequency take priority. G-JSUE is a privately-owned Van’s RV7 based at Manchester Barton.
