Gas log or Pebble fire - remote / receiver battery replace. This video will show you how to correctly replace the remote and receiver batteries in your Illusion Gas log fire or Pebble fire. Please make sure you always read the instruction manual that came with your heater. First up change the Double A batteries in your remote. You’ll find the battery compartment on the underside of the remote. If you have this older style remote, you’ll also find The battery compartment on the underside. To change the receiver batteries inside the heater, firstly open the door at the bottom, gently push the open door back into the unit and move to one side, so the door can be removed. Inside you’ll find the receiver on the right, it’s this black panel. Remove the panel with the small switch. The 4 double A batteries are situated here. Remove the door by releasing the clips. The old batteries can now be removed. Insert the fresh batteries, making sure that the plus and minus symbols are correct. Now replace the small cover. Press the programme button to activate your remote. To Replace the front cover panel, you must slide the switch to ON. Once the cover and is firmly in place, replace the switch and slide back to the remote position. Now your heater should turn on. If your heater is an older model, the receiver will look like this. You will need to remove the receiver unit, by sliding it out of the heater and replace the double A batteries, located under this panel. Insert the fresh batteries, making sure that the plus and minus symbols are correct. To sync your remote, use a pen to push the learn button Now your heater should turn on. Remember to make sure you always read the instruction manual that came with your heater.
