Wide shot Josephine guests posing for group photo STORYLINE: Beth de Araújo brought her Sundance prize winner "Josephine," starring Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan, to the Berlin International Film Festival, where it is in competition for the Golden Bear. Tatum and Chan play the parents of an 8-year-old girl who accidentally witnesses a violent assault in Golden Gate Park. Her traumatized response in turn leads to conflict between her parents. The child is played by newcomer Mason Reeves, discovered by de Araújo at a San Francisco farmer’s market. Written and directed by the filmmaker, it's based on her own childhood experience of witnessing a crime. "Josephine" won both the U.S. dramatic grand jury prize and the festival’s audience award at the recent Sundance Film Festival. It is one of 22 films nominated for the Berlinale's Golden Bear. The winner, chosen by an international jury headed by Wim Wenders, will be announced Feb. 21. =========================================================== Clients are reminded to adhere to all listed restrictions and to check the terms of their licence agreements.
