Basic Care - Nappy Change

Welcome to our basic care series! During this series, we'll be showing you a number of basic care tasks that are vital to caring and providing for your baby. In today's video, we'll be guiding you through how to change a baby's nappy. In order to do this you will need: A changing table if it is that you're changing the baby at a raised level A changing mat A nappy-sack Alcohol-free wet wipes A fresh nappy Toys to entertain your baby Fresh clothes if needed Nappy changing is a time for your baby to kick about and get some air so don't feel pressured to get a new nappy on straight away. After wiping allow them to air dry, especially if they're suffering from nappy rash as the best defense against diaper rash is a dry bottom, achieved through regular diaper checks and changes. You can apply cream if necessary! As always, keep engaged with your baby, use toys to keep it entertained and talk to your baby to keep connected and bonded.
