Preparation is very simple, remove the white ash on the surface by scraping it gently with a knife (refer to my video) , and de pulp the vegetable before cutting it. Recipe :- Ingredients :- ........................................................ Snake gourd -1 Carrot - 1/2 Moong Dal - 1/2 cup B. Onion - 1/2 Shallots - 3 R.Chili - 1/2 Curry Leaves To Temper :- Oil - 1 tbsp U.Dal - 1 tsp Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp Asafoetida - a pinch Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder - a pinch Wash and decore and cut the snake gourd . Cut the carrot as well. Slice the onion , red chili. Boil the dal and set it aside. Heat oil and add in the u. dal, mustard seeds, asafoetida. Once dal is browned add in the onions, red chili, curry leaves. Stir until translucent , then add in the vegetables and stir a while. Add in the cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt . Then add in the water from the dal and let the vegetables cook. Once the vegetables are half cooked, add in the dal and simmer for 10 mins., until the vegetables combine well and cook with the dal. Add in a tsp of ghee and coriander to garnish. Serve hot with a cup of rice. A simple one meal healthy dish. Enjoy !!!!!
