I spent about 50 pages of graph paper designing the layout, which has evolved from the final drawing since 2018. The buildings all have names of my family and some close friends. There are 3 boxcars that I gave to my 3 families of grandkids to add grafitti, those are on the SF led train on the inner loop, a neighbor kid did the Pennslyvannia graffitti, and I did the Marvin the Martian on one car. For some reason Dave didn't show much of the downtown area on the southwest side of the layout where I have some scratchbuilt buildings.
