This interview for Paul Tschinkel's Artifacts was conducted by Bruce Kurtz, critic and curator, shortly afterwards in 1977. She talks about her approach to curation, and the philosophy that would ultimately come to fruition as the founding principles of the New Museum During this time, Tucker was organizing the New Museum, which today is still an important venue for contemporary art.
