Project Farm Pennzoil Engine Oil Comparison Test Finale: Amsoil or Pennzoil, which wins Championship? Let's find out! • Amsoil or Pennzoil, which wins Championshi... __________________________________________________________________ Join me as I change the oil in our datsun 280z. Changing the oil in a classic car can be super simple, but there are some things that should be considered. What oil should I choose? What tools do I need? Can I do this myself? Yes you can! Changing the oil is a very simple piece of maintenance and if done often enough, it can prolong the life of your car by a substantial amount. To change the oil in our Datsun 280z, I used some ramps, a ratchet with a 22mm socket, crush washers, a new oil filer, Penzzoil high mileage 5w30, and an oil catch can. I choose Pennzoil high mileage because it has esters in it which help condition and expand old seals in an old motor, this will help prolong the life of the engine. First thing to do is remove the oil fill cap, then remove the drain plug and drain the oil, meanwhile you can put a new crush washer on your drain plug, and once the oil is drained, put the drain plug back in. The last couple of steps include changing the oil filter and refilling the oil. You can do this yourself at home, and it's fun too!
