World War II was the most devastating conflict of the 20th century and left deep scars on all peoples who participated. However, the complete history has rarely been told from the German perspective, with color images that bring back to life a past marked by pain, propaganda, and destruction. This documentary proposes to look at the events through the eyes of German soldiers, civilians, and leaders, showing how they lived each stage of the conflict from their own territory. The narration begins with the euphoria of the rise of the Third Reich and the apparent invincibility of its army in the early years. Germany believed it was destined to dominate Europe, driven by a regime that promised glory and national unity. In full color, we see the marches, the speeches, and the military advances that seemed to confirm that illusion. However, behind each victory were hidden the first signs of wear and internal tensions that would soon take their toll. As the conflict progressed, the German vision was transformed. The invasion of the Soviet Union, the failure in Stalingrad, and the constant allied bombings showed the population that the war was not just propaganda or easy triumphs. The color images reveal cities in ruins, families fleeing bombings, and exhausted soldiers on an increasingly hostile front. The German perspective was no longer that of a conquering people, but that of a nation trapped in a total war. The documentary culminates with the fall of Berlin and the absolute devastation of the Reich. From the German perspective, the end was not just a military defeat, but also a moral and social collapse. Through visual testimonies and historical reconstructions, the viewer will discover how Germany went from exaltation to collapse, in a story narrated with unpublished and vibrant images that bring color back to a past that still marks the European memory.
