Weaving together astronomy, nocturnal images, and striking vocal performances, Dark Sky is a deeply moving exploration of the beauty and science of our environment at night. Reflect on the importance of the night sky with haunting works from William Byrd, Philip Glass, Caroline Shaw, Andrew Yee (featured on cello recordings), and Kaija Saariaho—including her renowned choral piece Nuits, Adieux—brought to life by Fourth Wall Ensemble. And then immerse yourself in stories and recordings by photographer John Bulmer, whose haunting images are featured in the program, and reader Avery Leigh Draut.
