An early January visit to Hawes, the market town of Upper Wensleydale in Richmonshire, North Yorkshire, with the intentions of seeking out 3 waterfalls in the area. After a brief wander through Hawes itself and starting out at the falls there, I headed first for Aysgill Force, passing through thte village of Gayle and following Gayle Beck, on which Aysgill Force sits. I followed the beck a little longer and then made a sharp right heading through the gorgeous Yorkshire Dales countryside and headed in the direction of Appersett. Shortly after, I made a there and back detour off my loop to head toward the second falls of the day, Cotter Force. I spent a while here admiring the falls before moving on again in search of the third falls of the day. A steep climb up Bluebell Hill came next before dropping off into Hardraw. It was here that the next falls were located, Hardraw Force. These falls are on private land, therefore a payment of £4 (02/01/2023) is required to gain entry. I spent a while in the grounds, checking out the higher and lower walk options and sat a while to eat my lunch here too, would be a great picnic area in warmer climates. From Hardraw, it was a gentle 2 mile walk back into Hawes where I started. A fantastic area and one I'm sure I will visit again someday. A map of my route can be found at: https://explore.osmaps.com/route/1522... And lastly, I'm in no way paid for my videos, I make them purely for my own memories and hopefully to inspire family, friends and you guys to get out and enjoy our beautiful countryside. I'm no pro but I do enjoy the challenge of putting videos together. Critique is welcomed, criticism is not. If you enjoy my content, why not buy me a drink via https://www.buymeacoffee.com/PipesHikes
