Instant start ballast EOL - a tribute to Jeremiah roasting some spent tubes

One thing that I learned from Jeremiah was the interesting light show fluorescent tubes on instant start ballasts put on as they reach EOL. The instant start ballast will really run the tube into the ground and they will lose vacuum. When the lamps stop running on rapid start, program start or preheat ballasts, the instant start ballast will violently blast out the last remaining bit of life from the tubes before running them into the ground. The tubes usually put on quite a light show on instant start EOL too. They can flash orange for a bit before they finally lose vacuum. Some of these were spent tubes from Jeremiah's collection that he presumably kept around with the intention of doing this, and as a tribute I'm doing it here on video and sharing it with all of you. Pretty trippy stuff. I didn't do it with all of the spent lamps we have but enough to get the idea. DISCLAIMER: The setup that I'm using to do this is pretty dangerous and there is a risk of electrocution. In fact, I've actually electrocuted myself a few times trying this.
