This took a long time to plan. Probably around 8 or so hours of planning, along with another couple of hours just thinking about the fight without the numbers in front of me. I knew going in I at least had the strong advantage of a beneficial terrain and a strong partner, but that same terrain also meant the other side could easily get setup and snowball if I wasn't careful. Teambuilding was based around preventing that, either with supporting moves or strong offense. My favorite was coming up with the lead Meloetta with dark z snatch. I knew after looking at all 3 fights that I wanted to snatch the support moves that would be used to open, but I needed a mon that didn't get destroyed by shadow ball from Purugly in fight 1. Thus, Meloetta was chosen. Perfect typing, great speed with the +2 from dark z, and strong enough offenses to contribute. The special bulk being well above average certainly didn't hurt either. Delphox and Victini were on the squad primarily for fight 2, since I needed some way to weather the fire moves. Tapu Lele outsped everything but Noivern in the terrain thanks to Telepathy, and hit like an absolute truck. Cresselia was perfect to be a tank for any 1vs1 scenarios, plus it does a great job at letting my partner pick up KOs while safely firing off its own attacks. Finally Mega Metagross was chosen, 1 for its typing into the fairy/psychic moves, and 2 because it was pretty much tailor made to deal with Lin. Overall happy with the fights. I'm not sure how much variance there is here, but it felt good. I think the only thing I would do differently is play a little less safe in fight 2, but I'm so paranoid about my partner AI doing something silly like setting up for no reason (thanks Victoria) that I swapped out more than needed.
