Goa Carnival School Project | Innovation Fest. In this video, you watch me making Goa Carnival school project for Innovation Fest in my school. Goa Carnival is an event which takes place every year for 4 days. Its also called as Viva Carnival. “Viva Carnival” in Portuguese language means “Long live the Carnival” which is celebrated to mark the beginning of Lent (40 days of fasting) as per the Christian calendar. The main carnival day usually falls on Shrove Tuesday as per Christian calendar and hence exact dates change every year. Goa Tourism Department announces these dates. King Momo is the mythical king of carnivals and hence leads the Goa carnival. The parade contains colourful floats, balloons, horse drawn carriages and tableaux. The parade also includes masked dancers, musicians and performers in different kinds of costumes. The parade passes through the streets of major cities of Goa. I have used cardboard box and coloured sheets to make King Momo's vehicle. All other vehicles are done using 3d template printouts. We have cut green wool as small pieces to use as grass. I had so much fun while making this project. Facts: 1. “Ghoda Modni” is Folk dance of Goa which is performed using a wooden horse prop. 2. During the carnival, Goans like to enjoy “Bebinca - a sweet layered cake” and “Feni - a local liquor made from cashew or coconut”. Thanks for watching, Hope you enjoy watching it. 🔔 Please subscribe, like and share Music Credits Audionautix.com Torrance Sunset - Dan Lebowitz #diykids #GoaCarnival #bestoutofwaste #schoolproject
