As he pursues the woman of his dreams, his charm, sense of humor, and multiple impressions win her over in their heartwarming (almost completely true) love story. The film is distributed by Vision Films not only has some very recognizable & renowned tenured cast members, but tackles some realistic personal and later-in-life relationship issues. Mariette Hartley began acting at the age of ten with the legendary Eva Gallienne and John Houseman. Her numerous theatre appearances, Lion in Winter at the Colony, Cabaret, Broadway, Sylvia, MTC, Ancestral Voices, Lincoln Center, Enchanted April, Pasadena Playhouse, Measure for Measure, King John, Public Theatre. She has appeared in National Tours beginning as a teenager when she co-starred with Bert Lahr in the American Shakespeare Festivals production of A Midsummer Nights Dream. She toured with Copenhagen and The Sisters Rosenzweig for which she earned a Helen Hayes Award and the League of American Theatres National Touring Award. She made her screen debut in Sam Peckinpah’s classic western, Ride the Country with Randolph Scott and Joel McCrea. Regional theatre credits include Ten Chimneys, the Cleveland Playhouse, Buffalo Gal, Williamstown, Tom Stoppard’s The Seagull, Old Globe, Detective Story, Ahmanson, Antigone, with John Houseman and the UCLA Theatre Group. Lion In Winter, La Mirada, Same Time Next Year, Love Letters, Mrs. Warren’s Profession, King & I, and Mame. The Emmy award-winning actress recurred on Grey’s Anatomy, 911, Law and Order: SVU and has appeared on dozens of televisions shows from, Big Love, The Mentalist, Dirt, M*A*S*H, NCIS, and The Incredible Hulk. A three-time Clio Award winner for her Polaroid commercials with James Garner and recipient of a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, she also hosted the CBS Morning Program and Wild About Animals. Her best-selling autobiography, Breaking The Silence is available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble. A mental health advocate since 1987, she co-founded The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention which now has chapters in 75 cities. Jerry Sroka can be seen in the new film, OUR (almost completely true) LOVE STORY, that he wrote and produced with his wife, Mariette Hartley. They had previously produced Dog Years, written by Jerry’s son Warren and available on Amazon. Jerry’s career began in children’s theatre in Eatontown N.J. Where he played mostly witches. Short witches. A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he appeared in the film version of Godspell and in the Broadway and Boston stage productions. He wrote and appeared in DYING FOR LAUGHS at the Santa Monica Playhouse. It has been published by Samuel French has been produced in Georgia, Connecticut. and N.Y. He has appeared at the Woodstock Playhouse , The Gristmill Playhouse, Playhouse on the Mall, The Eastside Playhouse, Sullivan Street Playhouse and City Center in N.Y.
