(serial numbered obscured by me) In the box was a "TCL Monitor Color Calibration Factory Report" with the monitor serial number. It shows the measurement condition (6500K/2.2/sRGB/Digital/Konica-Minolta 410), the results and charts. It has 'F' energy rating Best colors and contrast is when viewed directly from the front, it does degrades from viewing from an angle, but around 35-degrees it holds pretty well The default color space 'original' I believe is the widest gamut (not sRGB, this option is available though in the settings) as gradients appear much smoother compared to sRGB option. Brightness is changeable while local dimming is active (tested in SDR, haven't tested in HDR yet) Variable Refresh Rate (VRR): 48Hz - 180Hz (shown in Windows 11) Inverse Ghosting in 'fastest' response time setup (not visible in 'fast') Gradients in sRGB/SDR mode are less detailed than my IPS. If I change to a wider gamut it's better but usually I'll stay with sRGB for most content. It's more noticeable in dark tones. This is probably one of the downsides of VA in general when it comes to colors and this is also using 8bit+2, so I guess this also one of the reasons for the less accurate gradation in that particular color mode. It's more distracting when watching videos but in games with lots of details I haven't notice it, but dark games (e.g. horror) it might be more noticeable. Small elements appear less bright UPDATED (8/21/2025) -Poor HDR performance due to small amount of dimming zones, especially when large portion of the video/image is dark/black. Also the screen is not bright enough to make HDR content really pop, even in a dark room Corners aren't as dark due to the viewing angles VRR is supported on the PS5 for 1440p: https://i.ibb.co/6JcYjHCh/vrrrrrr.png More testings will be done. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer. I am not an expert, by a gamer, keep this in mind but I'll do my best to research if I needed. Thanks. ------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: I am not an expert, just a gamer who tested this monitor. Opinions are my own and I might get some things wrong, so feel free to add your own input and correct me in the comment section. Thank you for understanding. Also some visual aberrations and pixelation or inaccurate colors are present due to the mobile phone recording and aren't actual existing issues when I view the monitor with my own eyes, this be due to the limited recording capability of my phone and might be also due to YouTube video compression as well. More tastings will be made and I'll share updated on my channel if I have anything important to add. ---- #gamingmonitor #monitorreview #tcl
