U.S. Monks Plea to Revoke Article 44 @Thailand Plaza

On Feb. 15th, 2017, thai Junta used Article 44 of the interim constitution to declare Wat Phra Dhammakaya Temple (located in Pathum Thani Province of Thailand) a “specially controlled zone”, granting authorities wide and far reaching powers to search Wat Phra Dhammakaya. Since then, DSI, police, and the military forces have raided the temple ground, barricaded gates, prohibited temple visitors from entering and prohibited food/water from being delivered to the temple premises. As news reports and live feeds have supported, temple officials complied with and assisted authorities in their search the entire time. Despite this the Junta has now gone a step further by issuing an order to force all visitors to leave and bringing in forces in the thousands to barricade the temple.
