As part of World AMR Awareness Week (18-24 November 2025), the AMR Multi-Stakeholder Partnership Platform and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) convened an important dialogue: Antimicrobial resistance in conflict-affected settings: field realities, operational challenges & policy recommendations. Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the most significant global health threats of our time, and its impact is even more severe in fragile and conflict-affected settings, where access to infection prevention, diagnostics, and antimicrobials, is limited. This dialogue brought together experts and field practitioners to explore the intersection between conflict, fragility, and AMR, and to identify actionable policy recommendations for humanitarian and health actors. Panelists: Dr Aula Abbara, Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer and Consultant in Infectious Diseases at Imperial College London and Advisor on AMR in Conflict for the Fleming Initiative Dr Kalyan Velivela, Health Program Manager for South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Nigeria, MSF Dr Muhammed Shaffi Fazaludeen Koya, Medical Officer, AMR-IPC-One Health Unit, WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean Alaa Abed, Infection Prevention and Control Supervisor in Gaza, MSF Moderator: Rupa Kanapathipillai, Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead, MSF
