It's the first week of November and bucks are on the move! With the start of muzzleloader season providing ample amounts of does and young bucks. We are back in the woods after a mature buck. With near record high temperatures and east winds, it was a frustrating couple days trying to put the pieces together. After the morning hunt, I climbed down to eat lunch and with an east wind I went to a new area to hunt that evening. After sneaking into the creek bottom, about an hour later a few joggers ran through my setup. Frustrated, I tore down and was hiking out when I ran into a few does and guess who was with them-a crusty old buck. A quick encounter on the ground provided a 50yd off hand opportunity.
