On April 27, 2025, a concert for saxophone and organ took place in the spacious hall of St. Mary's Church (Bernau bei Berlin). The concert featured works by Miles Davis, Sting, and Bob Marley, as well as other original compositions. Florian Palowski – Saxophone Philipp Standera – Organ St. Mary's Church in Bernau bei Berlin features a rich musical tradition centered on its historical organ, which has roots dating back to the 16th century, including a notable Arp Schnitger (1648 — 1719) rebuild. The late Gothic church building is the dominant structure of Bernau's historic old town and possesses a remarkably rich historical interior. The church hosts various concerts, often showcasing classical and sacred organ music in an atmospheric setting. The organ is often used in these events. To this end, the church leadership initiated the summer concerts at St. Mary's Church . Admission to the concerts, which are performed by invited musicians, is free, but donations are requested.
