Seamother Deathless without Abyss Pokemon. As an added bonus, I also only use Pokemon and resources available in the No Bosses challenge run (most importantly, no Pokemon from the Hive and no free leveling methods), and spend as few resources as possible. The resources I spend are: 1 Lost Machine for Pangoro's Endeavor. The items I hold are: Terrain Extender, Heavy-Duty Boots. Timestamps: 0:00 - Team Preview 0:59 - Fight Starts 1:44 - 1/3 Mark (Stubfish Sent Out) 2:40 - 2/3 Mark (Stubfish Dies) 3:40 - Fight Done For those not in the know: The Seamother is the postgame final boss in Salt & Shadow. This fight has several gimmicks: 1. It's a 2v1 fight. 2. The Seamother only uses Pokemon unique to this fight. They have appropriate stats, but completely busted abilities and movesets (albeit balanced for a good boss fight). You can't view data on them without extensive testing (or Yumil's documentation, team at the bottom of here: https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/.... 3. All of her Pokemon are Lv86 (or Lv100 on Perish Mode). For reference, most of your Pokemon will be Lv42. The highest you can get is Lv50. 4. The Tides of Evolution. At the end of odd-numbered turns, the Seamother's Pokemon will evolve (fully evolved gets +1 Atk SpAtk) At the end of even-numbered turns, your Pokemon devolve (no pre-evo gets instakilled). To circumvent devolution, you can use one of the 20 species of Beta Pokemon from the Abyss (immune to it) or have something hold an Everstone, which you get one of (immune once, then gets used up). Beating this fight without Abyss Pokemon means your team is on a constant countdown, and it severely limits your options. Legendaries you usually rely on will die of age after like 2 attacks. Your Belly Drum sweeper is turning into a Poliwag before you're halfway through the fight. So on and so forth. -- STRATEGY -- Team: Reuniclus w/ MagicGuard @ Endeavor TrickRoom (1 HEALTH) Ambipom @ FakeOut Astonish U-turn Indeedee w/ PsychicSurge, TerrainExtender @ doesn't attack ARaichu @ TrickRoom VoltSwitch CoolHelper @ any attack Pangoro w/ Heavy-DutyBoots, Scrappy @ Endeavor (1 HEALTH) Lead Reuniclus and Ambipom. 1. Reuniclus TrickRoom, Ambipom FakeOut. 2. Reuniclus Endeavor, Ambipom Astonish. (both devolve) (1 dead) 3. Duosion Endeavor, Aipom U-turn to Indeedee. (2 dead) 4. Duosion Indeedee switch to ARaichu CoolHelper. (both devolve) 5. Pikachu nothing, CoolHelper switch to Duosion. (TrickRoom expires) 6. Pikachu TrickRoom, Duosion Endeavor. (both devolve) 7. Pichu VoltSwitch to CoolHelper, Duosion switch to Pangoro. (3 dead) 8. (and 9 and 10) Pangoro Endeavor, CoolHelper kill. (4 5 6 dead) SUBSTITUTES FOR TEAMBUILDING: Reuniclus Ambipom Indeedee etc = Mon1 Mon2 Mon3 etc Mon1 is 3-Stage, 1 HP, Endeavor, slower than Mon2. Mon2 is 2-Stage, pivot move, attacking move. Either one is FakeOut while the other is TrickRoom. *Reuniclus+Ambipom is the only No-Lost-Machine duo.* (Other No-Lost-Machine duos need the Endeavorer to hold Everstone, so they die to hazards; even if Mon4 is Starmie and spins them away, Starmie needs its Everstone in that case, meaning you can't have both.) (also reuniclus+persian is invalid because persian is single-stage LOL) Mon3 is PsychicSurge, TerrainExtender. *Indeedee or Tapu Lele.* Mon4 is 3-Stage, TrickRoom, pivot move. *ARaichu, or Everstone Starmie, Xatu, Swoobat, Slowking, Slowbro, Whimsicott all work.* (With Starmie, you can spend the waste turn using RapidSpin, meaning Pangoro doesn't need HeavyDutyBoots.) Mon5 is 3-Stage, any attacking move, full stage is grounded, middle stage is faster than Pangoro. *Huge amount of options.* Mon6 is 2-stage, 1 HP, Scrappy, Endeavor. *Pangoro is the only option, being the sole Scrappy Pokemon in the game.* If you are curious about my thought process of making this strategy, it went a little something like this: I want to Endeavor TrickRoom sweep the whole fight, as dealing damage normally is pretty unproductive for how weak I am. I need a Soak, Odor Sleuth, Foresight, or Scrappy to Endeavor the Cheysmi. (This point caused me the most pain, as Cheysmi's only non-priority move also switches it out.) Indeedee is essential because PsychicSurge makes me immune to Stubfish's priority, which endangers my Endeavor user. Further, the AI will continue to waste attacks as Stubfish, so I can just sit there and set up. FakeOut helps me a lot to get TrickRoom on the lead. TrickRoom needs to be refreshed, because I don't have enough turns to kill everything. This is okay because of Stubfish wasting moves. Indeedee has to come in on an odd turn to not die to the tides. Pangoro and CoolHelper as well, since they exist for 3 turn endings. credit to ster cuz he made me realize reuniclus isnt the only one who can learn endeavor LMAOOO
