Creating Performable Sequences Using the Steevio Method

In this episode, I start building a simple generative patch. I’m exploring the Steevio method, a technique used by the legendary Steevio that combines sequences of different lengths to create evolving melodies that don’t repeat too quickly. This video focuses on the first part of the patch, using a few core modules to create movement and variation, while keeping things flexible and playable for live performance. Small changes to the controls can dramatically change the feel of the sequence without any repatching. This is the beginning of a short series where I’ll be building up a larger patch over multiple episodes. In the next video, I’ll be adding a second element to expand the sound further.
