The Hormann Rollmatic garage door is an electric aluminium double skinned insulated roller door with a standard specification higher than most other similar doors. It is remote control electrically operated as standard with 2 transmitters and an internal control box with a built in courtesy bulk head light. The roller door has an external motor drive unlike all other doors that use internal tube motors. This type of motor does mean it is not necessary to use a bottom edge safety sensor system as the safety in the door is taken care of by the motor detecting surges when the door is obstructed and immediately stopping and reversing. The external motor also means the manual override system is simple and easy to use compared to a tube motor system and much faster to operate. This method of safety in a motor drive is a trouble free system without the need for wireless for cabled bottom edge sensors or infra red light beams or grids, all a little delicate in certain environments. The Rollmatic is also delivered ready to install with the curtain rolled onto the barrel using special straps already prepared for you. The entire door is simple and easy to install and operate.
