🚂 Steam Double-Heading on the SVR! | GWR 1450 & 7714 | Flying Scotsman Move | Class 46 & DMU Action This weekend on the Severn Valley Railway, two of the line’s smaller Great Western locomotives team up for a special double-heading turn! GWR 1450 and GWR 7714 pair up to haul the heritage steam services on 7–8 March, providing a fantastic sight and sound as they tackle the SVR together. Running alongside them are the Class 108 DMU and Class 46 No. 46045 (Saturday only), making for a varied and action-packed day on the railway. We start the day at Kidderminster, catching the first departure of the double-headed pair. While there, we also see some mainline action as HST power cars 43467 & 43423 work 5Z43 Tyseley Steam Trust to Alton, hauling none other than 60103 Flying Scotsman on its way to the Mid-Hants Railway. After that, we head up the line to Bridgnorth to see the arrival of 7714 & 1450 with their train, enjoying some early spring sunshine along the Severn Valley – with even a few daffodils appearing along the lineside! Also featured in the video is Class 46 No. 46045 in service along the SVR.
