Trekking the Planet: California Missions Trail Summary

Catch up with the Trekking the Planet team as they provide a visual summary of their 800-mile California Missions Trail trek. During 57 hiking stages they walked from San Diego to Sonoma, visiting 21 Spanish missions in the process. Construction of the mission network, beginning with San Diego in the south and ending in Sonoma in the north, took place between 1769 and 1823. Over ninety percent of the trail was along roads, and they traversed through the urban areas of Los Angeles and San Francisco.
