Ingredients: 1 cup (226 g or 8 oz) unsalted butter, softened 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract (link to purchase⬇️) https://amzn.to/3oWoWs8 (Amazon affiliate) 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp (112 g) white sugar 2 1/2 cups (325 g) all_purpose flour 4 oz or 113 g baking semi-sweet chocolate 🌹Instructions🌹 1. In a large mixing bowl, place the flour, salt, vanilla, and sugar. Beat on low speed until creamy about 1 minute. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl with rubber spatula. 2. Add the flour in two additions and mix on low speed until just combined, but crumbly. Finish mixing with your hands until the dough comes together in a ball. 3. Divide the cookie dough into two equal parts (335 g each). Place each dough between 2 pieces of plastic wrap and roll into a circle of 20 cm diameters. Refrigerate for 45 minutes to 1 hour. 4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). 5. Remove plastic wrap from the top of the first dough and use cookie cutters of your choice to cut dough into shapes. Place the cookie cut-outs 1 inch apart on an ungreased half sheet pan (18 by 13 in _ 46 by 33 cm) or any other baking pan. Repeat with second dough. 6. Bake 1 sheet at a time on the center rack for 12 minutes. Remove from oven and transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely. 7. Break the chocolate bar with your hands into small pieces and place them in a medium heat safe glass bowl that is big enough to rest on the rim of a saucepan or pot. Set aside. In a medium saucepan, pour 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil on medium heat, then simmer over low heat. Place the chocolate bowl on top and gently stir until the chocolate has melted. Remove from heat and let slightly cooled. 8.
