Die Küken sind ausgeflogen und der Nistkasten ist nun verlassen! Es findet keine Vogelaktivität mehr statt! Das alte Nest (mitsamt der toten Küken) kann jetzt raus und der Nistkasten für Übernachtungs-Gäste oder die kommende Saison 2022 wieder fit gemacht werden ;) Meisen benutzen ihre Nester nur einmal und daher sollte das Alte raus! In manchen Fällen wird aus Mangel an Alternativbrutstätten ein neues Nest über das alte gebaut was parasitäre Altlasten und Probleme mitsich bringt! Durch die höhere Nesthöhe wäre es näher am Flugloch und Fressfeinde kämen noch leichter an die Küken! WICHTIG! Nistkästen niemals mit Reinigungsmitteln behandeln! Ausbürsten reicht vollkommen! Man kann jetzt noch herkommen und kochendes Wasser hineinkippen oder aber einen Heißluftfön nehmen! Ich schrubbe dagegen mit der Feilenbürste bis das Holz wieder fast wie Neu aussieht und sauge dann mit dem Industriesauger durch - sieht schöner aus :D ---------------------------- The chicks have flown out and the nest box is now abandoned! In some cases, due to the lack of alternative breeding grounds, a new nest is built over the old one, which brings with it parasitic contamination and problems! Due to the higher nest height, it would be closer to the entrance hole and predators would get to the chicks even more easily! IMPORTANT! Never treat nest boxes with cleaning agents! Brushing is enough! You can now come here and pour boiling water in or use a hot air blower!
