Now the room is warmly lit, the ghost quiet still, So I grab a drink to fill my soul with spirits just like him, And I ask my demon why he's wrapped up in fairy lights, With a strangely melodic voice he says, "Let me fill you in..." They don't have holidays in the underworld, So I came to haunt you and wish that all is well With you my dear mortal, my only friend, I'll be by your side until the night ends. Mr. Ghost I can tell you're a sad lonely guy, I can hear it in your voice, I see it in your bright red eyes, Oh I worry too that my friends don't really like me, That they tolerate my face that I'm a waste of time and space, How can you bring cheer when there is none? Like a midnight sun, as my mind's undone? Creature can't you see that you're not like me? That your brain is real and the sun will rise eventually?
