Tulsa Time - Eric Clapton Cover (with lyrics)

"Tulsa Time" was written in 1978 by Danny Flowers, at the time lead guitarist for Don William’s band. Needless to say, Williams went on to record it. The song reached number one on the Country Chart and held a spot in the Top 40 for eleven weeks. It was also recorded by Eric Clapton who had heard the song during a hotel room jam session when Flowers opened for him (with the Don Williams band) a little later in Nashville. Clapton released two versions of the song: first his 1979 album Backless and second in 1980 on a live album - Just One Night. It became a feature of his live Timepiece sessions and reached number 30 on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
