Let's make a dark, witchy Victorian chemise and split drawers with hand embroidery! These 1880's Victorian underpinnings are made using Black Snail Patterns' number 1115, which is the Victorian Underwear pattern. This is a very easy pattern to follow, and both the chemise and split drawers are quick, easy makes that you can do in a weekend. This pattern also includes a late-bustle period petticoat, and a fabric stuffed bustle pattern. In this video, I'll show you how to economically cut out this pattern using 2 yards less fabric than the pattern calls for, with one simple adjustment! The edges of the chemise and drawers are also decorated with hand-embroidered tape in a green, witchy design which does NOT resemble mathmetical symbols...at all... This is the beginning of a mid-1880's Victorian Bustle project, which I will be working on throughout the year. All the underpinnings are going to be fun and witchy! In the 1880's, drawers were split to allow for the wearer's ease, and I'm ridiculously proud of the witchy, family-friendly way I figured out to show them off in the reveal...it's worth sticking around till the end 🤣 Support this channel by buying me a coffee ☕🧡 : https://ko-fi.com/fantasticalfollies The full 1880's Victorian Bustle Playlist: Resources: The pattern: https://blacksnailpatterns.com/en/pro...
