Vol.2スターCb奏者“ヴィース・ドゥ・ボエヴェ”氏の軌跡】 Wies de Boevéのプロフィール Wies de Boevé was born in Belgium in 1987 and began his double bass studies at the Antwerp Conservatory. In 2007 he moved to Zurich, where he studied with Duncan McTier at the Zurich University of the Arts. He was then accepted into the Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker, where he received lessons from the orchestra’s principal bass players Janne Saksala and Esko Laine. At the same time, he completed his soloist diploma with Božo Paradžik in Lucerne, and then completed his studies with Matthew McDonald at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin with a concert exam. Wies de Boevé has won first prize in six international music competitions, including the Deutscher Musikwettbewerb 2015, the 65th ARD Music Competition 2016, and the Bottesini Competition 2017; he is considered to be one of the most successful young double bass players in Europe today. He enjoys performing rare solo double bass repertory, and thus has performed concertos for double bass with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Münchener Kammerorchester, and the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, among others, delighting both critics and audiences. In 2016, he released his first CD on Genuin with original works of the 19th and 20th centuries for double bass and piano. As an orchestra musician, Wies de Boevé performed with the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Concertgebouworkest Amsterdam, the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and the Staatskapelle Berlin, among others, before becoming Assistant Principal Bass in the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks in 2015. He teaches at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and at the Academy of the BRSO, conducts master classes, and coaches the musicians of the European Union Youth Orchestra as a double bass teacher.
