Hi guys, today I drive a 2017 Proton Perdana 2.4 High spec. The Second generation Perdana also knows the Accordana Is based on the 8 gen Honda Accord hence why the car looks like a Honda Accord, Proton and Honda formed a partnership In the year 2013 where Proton needed to supply D segment vehicles to high ranking Government Officials in Malaysia and therefore needed a Vehicle, that’s when they approached Honda, In accordance with the agreement between Honda, Proton was not to allowed to sell the Perdana to the Public and only could supply the cars to the Malaysian government. However, In 2016 Proton Launched this the new redesigned Perdana, and now finally Proton was allowed to sell it to the public. It was Longer than the Accord and in-fact was the longest D segment car sold in Malaysia at the time, the Length of the Perdana was at a whopping 5,020mm where the Camry XV50 was 4,850mm and The 9 Gen Honda Accord was 4,935mm. The agreement also meant that Proton was still not allowed add any of their own features to the Perdana, they were only allowed to use what Honda provided them with.
