Meghan Markle‘s half-brother, Tom Markle Jr., opened up about his father’s past drug use in an exclusive video interview with In Touch. Tom claimed Thomas Markle Sr. used to throw wild parties at their Woodland Hills home, and would have lines of cocaine racked up on the mirror. While Tom Markle Sr. has denied his son’s allegations, he has admitted to having “an occasional sniff of cocaine” in the past. Watch the video for the shocking details. Tom was a young teenage kid at the time and claimed he didn’t pay much attention to the parties since he was left alone on a regular basis. “My father, when I was growing up, was very distant. He wasn’t around very much at all. His work schedule, I mean he just wasn’t there,” Tom told In Touch. “It was mostly my mom raising us all the time but when my dad was around he was just quiet and secretive. He didn’t really want to be bothered much. There was always a secret side to him.” Tom previously addressed his childhood relationship with Meghan, 37, as well. “I spent a lot of time with her growing up,” Tom explained. At 14, he was living with his dad, now 74, and Thomas Markle Sr.’s then-wife, Doria Ragland, 62, when Meghan was born. The former Suits star was catapulted to superstardom in November 2017 when she and Prince Harry announced their engagement. And the interest in Meghan has continued to impact Tom’s livelihood. “There was a time where people were following me around at work, taking pictures and posting horrible stories about me and my family saying I’m a white supremacist, a drug addict and a dealer, all this crap that just isn’t true,” Tom said. Meghan and Prince Harry tied the knot on May 19, 2018, making them the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Now, the royal couple is expecting their first child together and Doria is expected to play an active role in his or her upbringing. However, Meghan didn’t even call her estranged father to tell him she was pregnant, according to reports. Meghan’s due date is estimated to be spring 2019.
