In this video you'll see how I clean my hamster cage and some of the hamster supplies. I didn't clean everything in one day because it made me really sad. There was no pressure behind it because my hamster was not sick so it was okay not to clean everything in one day. Nugget passed away because of an old age, he was 2 years and 7 months old. For that reason I didn't disinfect everything, it is not necessary. I cleaned everything with hot water and natural vinegar. Do not use this method if your hamster died because of parasites or any type of illness that could kill another pet. In the video I said to only use this method when your hamster died because of an old age. What I meant to say was: only use this when your hamster died because of a natural cause. I also want to mention that it is not necessary to do this while your rodent is still alive. By cleaning everything you remove their scent and that causes a lot of stress. I recommend spot cleaning every once in a while if you want to make things fresh again.
