It won't be easy but I quarter saw this 32-inch-wide Doug Fir on my sawmill! We're going to push the limits with this one! With a max cut of 27 inches and the log is pushed over the sawmill side supports we will take it to the max on this woodmizer LT40 portable sawmill! Trying to cut deep enough to quarter saw up a 32" log can be a challenge but with some perseverance and ingenuity we'll make it work! This log's estimated weight was 3400 lbs and it scaled in at a whopping 770 board feet (international quarter scale)! Now we're getting into big west coast wood on the sawmill!
